  • Provide consultation on organizational and clinical processes for the country’s first and only existing ABA center which is overseen by one BCBA and at least 80 staff.
  • Assist the BCBA with clinical training using Behavioural Skills Training (BST) on evidence based teaching methods for staff providing interventions for children with autism. Empower locals to become the experts in their community with the goal of creating sustainable impact

 

Entrepreneur, Lingo (September 2016- present)

  • Lingo is an Augmentative and Alternative Communication system (AAC) for non-verbal individuals with autism, global developmental delays, Acquired Brain Injury and neurodegenerative diseases. Learning to transition from using pictures to written communication, and incorporating language learning principles from Verbal Behaviour and Relational Frame Theory is the primary difference that separates Lingo from other AACs.
  • Build the first manual prototype that has been tested and proven with a non-verbal client with autism. The client acquired at least 100 written words (within 2 months) to communicate without any prior exposure to AACs.
  • Lingo is currently funded by the Center for Aging and Brain Health Innovation (CAHBI) and in development with the Center for Applied Research, Innovation and Entrepreneurship
