Professional Experience
Deirdre is a speech-language pathologist and board certified behavior analyst. She has worked with families of children with language disorders, developmental disabilities, and challenging behaviors in homes, clinics, and school settings. Deirdre’s research interests center on understanding, acceptance, and implementation of evidence-based practices in speech-language pathology, special education, and applied behavior analysis. Her current area of research interest is implementation of evidence-based practices in behavioral feeding disorders and language intervention in ASD.
Deirdre currently works as an Assistant Professor of Communication Sciences and Disorders at the College of St Rose, Albany NY. She consults to families and clinics on behavioral feeding disorders and to a school in Ireland on language and behavior for children with ASD.
